The NSW Business Chamber is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission for 190 years has been to create a better Australia and achieve this through helping businesses. Sydney Business Chamber is part of NSW Business Chamber and in Western Sydney we work together to provide the voice for business, a resource hub for advice and assistance as well as a platform for member engagement so they can develop strong business to business connections.
The Local Chamber Alliance Program was developed to unite the Chamber movement, add strength to the voice for business as well as provide Local Chambers and their members’ access to advice, resources and benefits of the NSW Business Chamber so they can grow and prosper.
The NSW Business Chamber believes in the importance of the success of the Australian business community. Prosperity creates new jobs, social wealth and better communities in which to live. David Borger | Western Sydney Director of the Sydney Business Chamber
David currently serves as a non-executive director on Boards of The Sydney Festival, The Westmead Medical Research Foundation, Evolve Housing and Think Planners.
David was appointed by the Chamber in 2012 to advocate for the needs of leading businesses in the Western Sydney area. In this role David sets the policy agenda by promoting discussion on issues that contribute to economic activity and growth in Western Sydney. Prior to this, he served as and Minister for Roads, Minister assisting the Minister for Transport and Roads in the NSW Government, Minister for Housing, as well as Minister for Western Sydney in the NSW government. He was also the youngest person, at 30 years of age, to hold the office of Lord Mayor of Parramatta where he served for three terms.
Michelle Caruso | Regional Director, Western Sydney, NSW Business Chamber
Michelle lives, works and loves Greater Western Sydney. Having spent the past five years with the NSW Business Chamber, Michelle commenced in South West Sydney as the Regional Manager, her role has since been expanded to Regional Manager, Western Sydney. Michelle is responsible for all of the Chamber’s members and governance in the Region including acquisition and retention as well as more recently adding to her portfolio Local Chamber Alliance Partners which includes over 20 Local Chambers across the Region. Michelle is also responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with a number of key stakeholders in the Region including Government entities, SME’s to Corporates and Not-for-Profit organisations.
