The Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP, Premier of NSW
Gladys was first elected to the NSW Parliament as Member for Willoughby on 22 March 2003. She was elected Leader of the Parliamentary Liberal Party on 23 January 2017 and sworn in as the 45th Premier of New South Wales.
Gladys had previously served as Treasurer and Minister for Industrial Relations in the Baird Government since April 2015. Prior to that, she was appointed Minister for Transport following the election of the O’Farrell Government in March 2011 and served in that role for four years. She is a Master of Commerce graduate from UNSW and prior to entering Parliament worked as a General Manager for one of Australia’s largest financial institutions. Gladys has also completed studies in Government and Public Administration (B.A., Uni. Syd). Gladys lives in Willoughby and has had a life-long association with the local area.
Professor Ed Blakely | Honorary Professor in Urban Policy at The United States Studies Centre at The University of Sydney |Founder and Chair of the Future Cities Collaborative.
One of the world's leading scholars and practitioners of urban policy, Professor Edward Blakely has been Dean of the School of Urban Planning and Development at the University of Southern California and Dean of the Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy, New School University in New York City.
In addition to Professor Blakely's background in academia, the Professor has an extensive record of public service that includes advising the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the city of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, state and federal governments in Australia and the United States, as well as governments in Korea, Japan, Sweden, Indonesia, New Zealand and Vietnam.
The Future Cities Collaborative allows Professor Blakely to combine his passion for sustainable urban design with his expertise in teaching and fostering capacity building in all levels of government.
Steve Grant | Capital Bluestone
Steve is one of the industry’s most well-known and respected professionals, with a long history of delivering quality projects and pushing the boundaries to deliver better outcomes on any project.
Steve formed Grant Constructions and Capital Corporation in 1990/1991.
In 2003 the NSW State Government named Grant Constructions the Western Sydney Industry Award Winner – Business and Corporate Services for the business that achieved the most significant state, national or international focus and recognition for Western Sydney.
Steve sold Grant Constructions in 2004 to focus on other interests including property development through Capital Corporation, Cencorp Property Group, Eden Brae Homes and Grant Rural Industries. These groups hold an investment portfolio more than $300m and have a development pipeline in excess of $1b.
Capital Corporation has been integral to the outstanding growth of the Norwest Business Park.
Steve came together with Ben Fairfax in 2009 when they started Bluestone Property Solutions, an innovative development organisations with strategic partnering at its core.
Delivering a range of successful projects across the residential, industrial and mixed use classes, Bluestone Property Solutions offered a unique partnership approach to deliver results to their clients.
In 2015, Steve formally joined Capital Corporation with Bluestone Property Solutions to form Capital Bluestone.
