Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne | Hills Shire Council
Dr Michelle Byrne has led a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors.  
Michelle was first elected to The Hills Shire Council at the 2008 Local Government elections and by 2011 had been elected Deputy Mayor.
To this day, she remains the youngest ever Mayor of The Hills Shire – a title she received when she was elected Mayor in September 2012 at the age of 32.
She was re-elected to the role of Deputy Mayor in September 2014 following two years as Mayor and, in 2017, Michelle was officially elected as the first-ever popularly elected Mayor
 
Mr Tim Spencer | Executive General Manager Mulpha
 Tim leads the Mulpha Development platform that has been delivering projects for over 25 years on the world stage. With its skill base in world leading, master planned communities such as Norwest Business Park, Sanctuary Cove Resort and Leisure Farm Resort, Mulpha Development’s expertise in commercial, residential, retail, recreational and infrastructure developments is exemplary.
Tim’s 20 years of property experience was founded in tier 1 construction and development delivery, extending into visionary urban planning and sales and marketing.
Tim has worked for both private and public enterprises delivering the full spectrum of property from residential, commercial, industrial, retail, infrastructure and retirement.
 
Dr Andy Marks | Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Strategy & Projects) Western Sydney University
As Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Strategy and Projects), Andy drives Western Sydney University’s collaborations with government, industry and the community.
Andy is a co-founder of the University’s ‘LaunchPad’ business incubator. Established in 2015, with branches in Werrington, Liverpool and Parramatta, LaunchPad is focused on expanding innovation across Western Sydney via intensive support for Startups and acceleration for tech-focused SMEs.
He writes regular columns for the Sydney Morning Herald and the Daily Telegraph on politics, social issues, and Western Sydney. More recently he founded the CatalystWest event, an interactive forum saw 350 government, industry and community leaders gather at Parramatta to address decadal challenges in the West.
Prior to his current role, Andy was a senior researcher in the social services sector. He holds a PhD and first-class Honours in ‘politics and literature’ specialising in interpreting the representation of politics and identity in contemporary culture.
He is also a board member of the Western Sydney Community Forum, the region’s leading social services peak body.
