Peter Higgins |Co-Founder Mortgage Choice, |CEO/President World Cup Polo.

Supporting and investing in the community has been a driving force in Peter Higgins’ career and family life.
Peter lives in the Hawkesbury and is the co-founder of Mortgage Choice. He is the CEO of World Cup Polo, manager of the world Championship. He is also the proud owner of Sydney Polo Club, which will host the prestigious World Polo Championship in October.
This international event will attract the world’s top players and supporters and put the world spotlight on the Hawkesbury area via a telecast into 151 million homes in 54 countries.  Supported by the NSW Government and Destination NSW, the World Polo Championship are expected to inject millions into the NSW and local economies and create hundreds of local jobs.

Peter’s success is all the more remarkable because he left home at 15 and did not finish Year 10 at school. He worked in a number of jobs in business management and demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age.

When Peter co-founded Mortgage Choice 25 years ago, he had a vision to build the first brokering system to help families improve their financial situation by offering a choice of home loan providers, coupled with expert advice. Today, Mortgage Choice processes $2 billion a month of mortgages and financial services for Australians.
He has also built a family of over 700 loyal franchisees - Mum and Dad small business owners, many of whom are based in the West.
Not content to rest on his laurels, thirteen years ago, Peter predicted technology would become an extension of us all - with laptops and smart phones used on-the-go all the time.  He set out to find an inventor who could create a charging device which could be installed anywhere to prevent flat battery disruption in our lives. His company, Mainline Power was born. It is a world-first market leader and available in over 100 countries. These charging stations can be found under every seat in university lecture rooms across Australia, in schools, at work and in the home.
