The trials and tribulations of modern families: perspectives from Family and Relationship Lawyers
Gone are the days where the word 'family' conjures up a mental image of the typical 'nuclear' variety. Shifts in societal norms such as an increasing number of lone-parent families, a growing trend towards having children later (or not at all), same-sex parent families, falling rates of marriage and higher divorce rates have brought substantial changes to what constitutes 'family' In Australia. But has Australia's legislative framework kept pace with the rapid transformation happening in our homes?
Lander & Rogers Lawyers, in conjunction with the Sydney Hills Business Chamber, are pleased to be hosting a women in leadership networking lunch. Featuring leading Family & Relationship Law Partner Collette McFawn and Senior Associate Tessa Kelman, guests will hear how modern Australian families are impacted by current legal structures.
