SafePower Sydney Hills Testing Procedure
Qualified technicians will visually inspect equipment to identify faults. Electrical tests are then completed using a Portable Appliance Tester (P.A.T.) with the equipment powered-up. When the appliance/lead passes then a SafePower printed tag is applied. If it fails at any stage of the testing process our technician will then consult with you as to the process required to repair or dispose of the electrical item.
For equipment that is supplied by a separate cord, both the cord and equipment must be tested and tagged.
Multi-meters, discrete insulation testers or low cost Pass/Fail PAT testers are not used because these measurement techniques do not test equipment/appliances while they are powered up.
SafePower Sydney Hills clients are provided with:
• A complimentary Appliance Test Log Book.
• Asset log and history (Excel spread sheets).
• A follow-up call when tag renewals are due.
SafePower Sydney Hills ensures that:
? As far as practical, cables are adjusted and sockets effectively utilised to be safe and orderly.
? Records are provided in accordance with the AUS/NZ Standards including AS/NZ 3760.
? On request, in areas where aesthetics are important, small wrap round labels maybe used.
? All test equipment used is regularly serviced and calibrated.
? There are no call out fees.
? Charges are on a per test bases; no hourly rates.
? Public liability insurance is current.
If SafePower Sydney Hills technician(s) arrive late, then you, our valued customer will receive your next renewal test and tag service for that day with our compliments.
From the initial test date and up to the renewal date, if you feel that any appliances/tools we have tested do not appear safe, just give us a call 24/7 on 1300 760 636 and we will come back and re-test
that piece of equipment as part of the Test Warranty at no charge.
