Sydney Hills Business Chamber Charity Challenge Golf Day – 1 March 2024
Our Annual Charity Golf Day and Lunch is on again. The day supports and promotes proactive Mental and Physical Health for Men in our community
The date is Friday 1 March 2024.
Important Program Info:
Arrival: Please arrive by 7:30AM
Tee Time: All teams must be ready to tee off at their allocated hole by 8:15AM
Teams will play in 4 person Ambrose groups, Shot Gun start, which means we all begin play at different holes at the same start time.
Golf Finish Time: 1.00pm
All Teams must complete their round by 1.00pm at which time Buffet Lunch is being served. You should average no more than 15mins per hole. Don’t waste time looking for balls.
At our Lunch we'll be hearing about Men's Mental and Physical Health, and how you can look after yourself and each other with our Guest Speaker Marcus Whelan.
On Course:
The Day kicks off with Breakfast in the upstairs Brasserie and then Golf – 4 person Ambrose. Our teams and Non-Golfing Guests will then be joining us for a big networking buffet lunch at the end of the golf, with a great guest speaker.
We’ve added lots of team challenges and games to each hole and opportunities to support initiatives to support mental health in our community, through games and incentives, and raffles, so bring some cash with you too.
To add a bit of extra challenge for those serious golfers among us, we’re playing off the Black Tees for the event on the Gangurru Course (rated #96 in Golf Australia’s Top 100 public access courses).
(If you’re not a serious golfer and just playing for fun that means for those serious golfers it’s really going to be a competition for the pro’s - the rest of us will enjoy the day fumbling our way through each hole having a laugh). Register Here
Booking your team/tickets:
Please help us manage the day smoothly, as this event is run by volunteers.
If you're playing with a prearranged team of 2 or 4 or more book in all at once. When completing your booking you will need to give us all of your players Names, Email addresses, and Mobile Numbers; so we can send them the event info and reminders. And you’ll need to add any dietary requirements in your booking.
Please add your individual AGU or Social Club handicap in your booking for each player in your team in the comments.
If you're playing on you own, and wish to be added to a group, just book your ticket include your handicap and we’ll add you to team.
Your ticket price will include:
• Green Fees
• Cart (2pp per cart)
• Breakfast (B&E Sandwich and Coffee)
• Sit-down Buffet Lunch
• Drinks are at your own expense (can be ordered at the bar)
Club Hire
If you need to hire clubs, please contact the Pro-shop at the course before the event day to reserve your clubs and pay on the day for these. (Please arrive earlier to collect these at the pro-shop)
Handicaps & Prizes
• If you have an AGU handicap, enter it in the Booking Comments for your ticket and play to that.
• If you have a Social Club handicap, enter it in the Booking Comments for your ticket and play to that.
• If you don’t have a registered handicap the Ladies will be allocated 45 and Men 36.
• The winning ambrose team for the day, will win a round for two each, with a cart at Riverside Oaks.
Our event prizes include 1st. 2nd. 3rd. Team Prizes, Bradman, Lucky Door, and Survival Ball Draw.

Fundraising on the Day
We'll be running some fun Fundraising activities - Please bring CASH to donate during play and at the Lunch. There is NO ATM at the Course.
Wet weather
IMPORTANT: Golf will go ahead rain, hail or shine unless the course advises us otherwise prior to the round. If prior the event date a severe weather event (eg flood) is predicted an alternative date for the event will be selected and you will be advised.
Travelling to the Course
Please allow 45 minutes travelling time from Norwest Business Park to Riverside Oaks Golf Resort.
Before play starts / Breakfast / Golf Day Briefing
When players register in the pro shop, we will give them a voucher for breakfast and Coffee, along with your teams score card.
Egg & Bacon Rolls are available from the upstairs Brasserie with Tea/coffee before tee off, where we will give everyone a quick briefing.
Buffet Lunch will be served in the upstairs Brasserie at 1.00pm as the official presentation part of the event. We’ll be doing the presentations to winners of the day, hearing from the Guest Speakers, doing a bit more fundraising.

Our Non-Golfing Guests
Our Non-Golfing Guests will join us for the connection and presentation Lunch which will be served in the Club House function area upstairs after the Golf at 1.00pm.
We’ll be doing the presentations to winners of the day, hearing from the Guest Speakers, doing a bit more fundraising.
Dietary requirements
If there are any dietary requirements please advise us by the Friday before the event date, so that we can arrange this for you. We have a vegie option and GF Bread and Chips.
We'd love to see you there enjoying a day out on the course networking and supporting men's health.
